Pricing

By Weight

• Bisque Firing (950°C): £1 per 100 grams
• Glaze Firing Only (1220°C): £1.30 per 100 grams
  Note: Glazes may require prior testing to ensure compatibility with our firing processes.

Full Kiln Rates

• Full Kiln Bisque (Standard Size): £60
• Full Kiln Glaze (Standard Size): £80
• Full Kiln Bisque (220L Capacity): £80
• Full Kiln Glaze (220L Capacity): £120

Requirements

• All pottery must come prepped and ready for firing.
• Use of the kiln hire service does not include access to glazes or glazing facilities at the studio.

Glazes and Firing

• Self-Made Glazes: Any self-made glazes must receive prior approval before being fired. Test-firing may be necessary to confirm suitability.
• Re-Firing: If a piece requires re-firing, additional charges may apply.

At Lovebird Studios, we ensure that only experienced and trained staff handle and fire your ceramic work. However, due to the unpredictable nature of ceramics, particularly in a teaching or shared studio environment, some risks are unavoidable.
